With his large build, he looks every bit the defender of the weak and helpless. He is highly regarded among his fellow knights for his exceptional skill in crafting solar shields in combat. While all knights are trained in this ability, it is his shields that others seek to bond with, knowing their defense will be greatly enhanced in his presence.
Many believe his mastery of this skill stems from how deeply he values being a protector— a principle that will undoubtedly be tested in The Fall of Magic.
