Order of the Empyreal Blade
The paladin order was founded by Valothas Ear’thol, a former elder knight of the Knights of the Phoenix. The order grew steadily for many years following the decline of magic’s potency. Its initial purpose was to safeguard the shards of Valos from those who might use them as weapons against the innocent or to destroy anything the divine creators had granted to Auro.
The paladins channel the light as a weapon against the servants of the gloom and all who seek to destroy Auro. The way the light is manifested varies from one paladin to the next. Regardless of how each holy warrior wields their power, one thing is always certain: theirs is a gift from the gods, a light that endures through every loyal member of the order’s ranks.
Sadly, most people across the planet hold mixed views of the order, with many arguing that it fails to shield the world from the darkness that has long persisted.
Still, the paladins remain committed to protecting the world from darkness until the Last Light of Auro is restored and Merdah’s reign is brought to an end.
