Norithan’s long journey to Valenthreas was marked by catastrophe even before it began. He chose to expand his knowledge of blacksmithing after civil unrest in the vorelan capital reached dramatic new heights—several years before he ultimately decided to leave.

Since his arrival, he has been met with a range of reactions. Prejudice against the vorelan race is not uncommon, but it isn’t something one would typically expect to encounter in a city like Valenthreas. Still, given the lingering stigmas surrounding his people—and the fact that many vorelans pledged their allegiance to Ohrimah during the great war—it would not cause him to waver in pursuing his passion in engineering.

He is best known as the vorelan apprentice of Drolluc Dronoc. Although this is his primary role in The Fall of Magic, history will come to show that Norithan’s journey led him across many lands, where he acquired a wide range of skills. In time, he would return to his homeland and rise to become a figure of great importance—though the full extent of his legacy has yet to be revealed.
