Peri

The peri are the ethereal race of auvinots who came into being in the year 3500 1A, born from the convergence of Auro’s two moons. Stewards of life and creation, they have only briefly revealed themselves to the races of Auro. Though many seek their aid and blessings, most peri do not interfere in the affairs or conflicts of the mortal world.

Led by their queen, Ieva, their sacred duty is to observe the natural order and protect the sanctuaries of the wild—forests and other sacred places where countless creatures make their homes. Rare and elusive, the peri can only be seen when they choose to cross into our world from their own realm, where time flows very differently from that of other races. They remain forever bound to their calling: to purify and heal the natural world that has long suffered under the threat of corruption.

Though the number of peri is finite, the exact count remains unknown, as no living being ever witnessed their birth into existence. Equally shrouded in mystery is how many among them turned to the dark master before the War of Strife and Sorrow. It is believed that a group of dark peri aided Ohrimah in the formation of the gloomveil—a place where many now believe they dwell, hidden entirely from the eyes of the people of Auro.
