This imposing and incredibly strong knight is known for delivering shattering blows in combat with his great cinder sword, laying waste to nearly all who dare challenge him. It’s said that when Salenval walks by, you can feel the ground shake beneath you. Though he often appears stern or rough, this facade is quickly broken when something amuses him, revealing just how silly he can be. Some even speculate that the gods got it wrong and placed his soul in the wrong body, as he surely wasn’t meant to be an elf. But don’t tell him that—he’ll definitely fight you over such words.

His strength will be tested in The Fall of Magic, as will his will to resist the darkness.
